Bauernhof Liendl

This popular farm stay is right on the shores of Lake Keutschach in Carinthia Austria‘s touristic Wörthersee region, and is a very enjoyable destination for children and adults alike.

The Accommodation:

They have a range of different self catering apartments, all of which are super clean and comfortable, with fresh white walls and modern wooden furniture. They come with a well equipped kitchen, a lounge area with satellite TV and most have at least one balcony or terrace.

There is a cafe and a quality restaurant at the farmhouse too, and you can sample a good variety of local Austrian food and wine, like the hearty Carinthian favourite Brettljause, or their own homemade Liendl bread, bacon, ham and pastries.

You can buy some of the farm’s produce too if you want to cook yourself and there’s also a supermarket just down the road.

Guests are more than welcome to tour the farm and meet, pet and feed the animals. They include sheep, goats, ponies, rabbits and hens and you’ll find all of them pretty friendly and approachable.

The Location:

Best of all this farm stay has its own private beach along Lake Keutschach and you can rent pedal boats from the farm, as well as bicycles to explore the surrounding region which has some really beautiful scenery and is ideal for mountain biking and hiking.
