Self Catering Farm Stays: Lampeter (2023)

This romantic little Welsh cottage is on a small working sheep farm in a secluded location in West Wales with its own, wildlife filled, pond right on front of the cottage. It’s in a gorgeous little spot; peaceful and quiet, but only a short drive from the university town of Lampeter and it makes for a very good base for exploring the rich countryside and coast of Ceredigion. The cottage is actually a converted barn dating back to the 18th-century and is full of character but wholly modern and comfortable, with all conveniences and a hot tub and BBQ just outside the door. There is one double bedroom, plus another sofa bed for one in a cosy alcove accessed by steps from the lounge area. The kitchen and lounge are open plan, the lounge comes with leather seating, a TV, DVD player and music system, and doors leading out onto the patio. There is a wood burning AGA heater/cooker in the lounge too and don’t worry you’ll have a good supply of logs all ready and waiting when you check in. The kitchen is stylish and clean and has all you will require, oven & hob, fridge, microwave etc. There is a washing machine in the outside utility room, and the property has one bathroom with shower. Outside in the patio you’ll find the nice wood fired hot tub as well as a barbecue and outdoor furniture. There is that lovely pond right on front of the cottage too, and around there is ten acres of farmland which has a flock of sheep and is a great place to spot wildlife.   READ MORE
