In Free State Province, where South Africa meets Lesotho, Pumula Guest Farm Stay is a working farm with self-catering cottages and apartments in a wonderfully relaxing, peaceful environment.
They all have full kitchens and lounges with open fireplaces, their own BBQ facilities, and patios. There’s an outdoor swimming pool, too.
Guests are free to wander the farm and the friendly owners are always willing to show you around and advise about further travel around the area, like the Golden Gate Highlands National Park, about 70 kilometres away from the farm.
