If it’s a peaceful rural retreat you’re after in the backwoods of North Carolina, USA, Jackson Farm, near Fayetteville might just be the place.
It has a spacious self catering cabin hidden away in the woods near its own eco friendly organic farm, with two bedrooms, a large lounge area with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a nice old style claw foot bath tub.
There is also a central heating system and air conditioning so it’s good for summer or winter, while outside you’ll find a large porch area with plenty of seating, hammocks, a grill, and even an outdoor shower.
There are 10 acres of private woodland surrounding the cabin, which serves as a wildlife preserve with a large pond on front of the cabin (which the porch overlooks), a swamp area and plenty of small trails running through the woods.
It is a haven for local flora and fauna; deer, foxes, muskrat, beavers, bobcats, raccoons, lizards, turtles and a huge amount of bird species, which can all be spotted around the cabin.
Jackson farm is about 25 miles east of Fayetteville and its regional airport (Grannis Field), and about 60 miles due south of Raleigh.
