Monster Lake Dude Ranch, in Cody, Wyoming, is a superb getaway for those of you with a love of the great outdoors, and especially of horseback riding, hiking, boating and fishing, but still need all modern comforts.
It has a range of western style cabins and suites on its huge lakeside ranch, most being self catering with a fully equipped kitchen, and all are very spacious and comfortable. You can relax with a drink and some snacks at the Cutthroat Saloon in the evenings, and in the mornings they also serve a very good breakfast. Outside there are barbecue facilities and plenty of space to hang out.
The owners and staff are hospitable and friendly and can help you with things like fishing equipment, horseback riding around the ranch, grocery deliveries, packed lunches etc.
In terms of location it’s about 10 miles from Yellowstone Regional Airport and the ranch can arrange a free transfer direct from the airport, just let them know before you arrive. So Yellowstone is close by, and so too are the Buffalo Bill State Park and the Shoshone National Forest, plus the lots of other less known places that rural Wyoming has to offer.
